Trust in institutions of public life and interpersonal trust - April/May 2023
Kyselá, Monika
Of the public institutions surveyed, the police (74%), the army and banks (68%) are the most trusted. On the other hand churches (28%) and political parties & movements (24%) are the least trusted.\nHigher prevalence of trust over distrust is also evident in the case of courts, opinion polls, trade unions and radio. In relation to non-profit organisations, trust and distrust are more or less equal. For the remaining institutions (television, the internet), mistrust is already slightly or strongly prevalent (political parties and movements, churches, the press).\nCompared to the previous survey of March 2022 and August 2021 respectively, the biggest changes were recorded in the case of trade unions (10 percentage point increase in trust), non-profit organisations, opinion polls and political parties (6 percentage point increase in trust), the internet (5 percentage point increase in trust) banks and radio (4 percentage point increase in trust). The army and the police, on the other hand, recorded a year-on-year decline in trust (by 5 percentage points).\nInterpersonal (social) trust is slightly lower in Czech society compared to the previous survey from March 2022. 94% of respondents trust their closest relatives (down by 4 percentage points), while 73% trust ordinary people (down by 6 percentage points).

WINSTED, Margareta
There have been four Christian churches active in the area of Černý Most housing development in Prague 14 since 2000 {--} the Church of Brethren, Christian Community Prague, Roman Catholic Church and the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The work describes the rise, growth and activities of these communities between years 2000 and 2007, focusing on the Church of Brethren. The first part generally characterizes the churches, their rise and size. Next I described the churches´ activities focusing on the care of believers and their evangelistic effort. The next interesting fact is the cooperation of the churches and support of their educational and social activities from the Municipal Office of Prague 14. To give the total view of the religious atmosphere in Černý Most I mentioned activities of the Muslim community and the Jehovah{\crq}s Witnesses central office. Therefore the overall position of Christian communities in the anonymous environment of the housing development is found very demanding.

Krauzová, Tereza ; Horák, Záboj (advisor) ; Tretera, Jiří Rajmund (referee)
The relationship between the state and religious communities in the USA Abstract The purpose of this thesis is to introduce the relevant aspects of the relationship between the state and religious communities in the United States of America. The focus of the thesis lies in the introduction of the development of interpretation of both religious clauses of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution by the Supreme Court, especially in the 20th century. This thesis aims to show, how both religious clauses, even though they were created to serve the same purpose, are in some cases interpreted in a contradicting way. The thesis also elaborates on religious freedom in the sensitive environment of armed forces, as the soldiers depend totally on services provided to them by the government. In the final part, the thesis introduces certain exceptions from the generally applicable legal provisions for the churches and religious legal entities, as well as recent development from the perspective of admitting religious freedom to business corporations. The History of the Parish in Most 1945-1990
Hausner, Martin ; Petráček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Stříbrný, Jan (referee)
The aim of this work was to describe the history of the parish in Most in years 1945 - 1990. This period comprises almost half a century, which was full of dramatic events in the state, political, municipal, parochial and private area. The defeat of the Nazi ideology occured at the beginning of this period and the fall of the atheistic ideology at its end. Also the parish in Most was afflicted by many changes and strokes during this period. Firstly, it was the post- war terror against German inhabitants and their violent removal. Shortly afterwards occurs the communist putsch, which leads to the initially hidden and soon afterwards to the open fight against Churches. The Church becomes a slave to the supervision and the authority of state officials. The parish in Most with its churches is almost symbolically in the spirit of the time swept off from the earth's surface at this time and the asylum was founded in a small parish hall. After nearly twenty years of living in the constant provisional arrangement has the parish its own church again. The totalitarianism is at the end of its power and the democracy is coming. The parish in Most is learning to live and to breath freely after many decades of the lack of the freedom. Keywords History, church, parish, churches, priests

Pultznerová, Hana ; Salač, Josef (advisor) ; Zvára, Michael (referee)
Mgr. Hana Pultznerová: "Restitution titles according to the Act on Property Settlement with Churches and Religious Societies" Abstract I chose "Restitution titles according to the Act on Property Settlement with Churches and Religious Societies" as a theme of my thesis. The first part of the thesis contains a historical excursion, which describes the origin of historical property of churches and the process of settlement of church restitutions in the Czech Republic. Well-deserved space is devoted to the case law of the Constitutional Court, which has played an irreplaceable role in the process of church restitution. Another introductory topic is a description of an Act No. 428/2012 Coll., on property settlement with churches and religious societies. The law is not a pure restitution regulation, because in addition to the restitution of property to church legal entities, it also grants financial settlement, which leads to the complete separation of church and state. I deal with the basic principles of the law, the method of restitution and further financial settlement with church entities. We will find out who is the person obliged to transfer the original property of the churches and who is entitled to ask the transfer of the property. I also deal with the process of transfer agricultural and non-...
